Abstract

Victim blaming in crimes against women is a serious societal issue that shifts responsibility from offenders to victims. Harmful stereotypes, patriarchal beliefs, and social stigma often lead to questioning a woman's behavior, clothing, or choices instead of condemning the crime. This attitude discourages victims from reporting offenses, delays justice, and deepens emotional trauma. Addressing victim blaming requires public awareness, gender-sensitive education, stronger legal support, and a collective commitment to respecting women's rights and dignity. Eliminating victim blaming is essential for creating a safer and more just society.
