Abstract

The technological evolution has reshaped the routine life of an individual, today a person's social standing is determined based on how influential a person is on the digital and social media platforms. This shift has underlined a direct bearing on the law of digital identity theft because it changes what identity actually consists of. A person's digital identity is no longer just their name, password or biometric but it now includes their voice, face, mannerisms and online persona, all of which are now digitally reproducible with advancement of artificial intelligence.
