Abstract

Fundamental Rights are essential to the Indian Constitution, ensuring equality, liberty, justice and protection against arbitrary State action. This paper analyses the Fundamental Rights enshrined in Part III of the Constitution, covering the Right to Equality, Right to Freedom, Right against Exploitation, Right to Freedom of Religion, Cultural and Educational Rights, and the Right to Constitutional Remedies. It examines the significance of Articles 14 to 32, judicial interpretations, reasonable restrictions and the evolution of constitutional protections. The paper also discusses the removal of the Right to Property from Fundamental Rights. Overall, it highlights their role in safeguarding democracy and individual dignity.
