Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as one of the most transformative technologies of the twenty-first century, influencing sectors such as healthcare, education, finance, governance and law. While AI offers significant opportunities for innovation and economic growth, it also raises important legal and ethical concerns relating to privacy, accountability, bias and regulation. This article examines the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in India, the existing legal framework governing its use, and the challenges posed by rapid technological advancement. It further highlights the need for a balanced regulatory approach that promotes innovation while ensuring transparency, protection of fundamental rights and responsible use of AI.
