Abstract

Clinical legal education is crucial in preparing law students with the requisite skills to practice law as a profession with proficiency. It involves teaching students to become lawyers through learning by doing or experiential learning. Clinical Legal Education is undergoing an era of growth and development, which has prompted clinicians all over the globe to reflect on the implications of its noteworthy accomplishments during the past four decades for its future. Law schools in India usually offer "legal aid cells" in which young minds practice legal aid for poor regions. Clinics are important as they prepare students with necessary skills and techniques, like legal writing and research, interviewing, investigation, and fact-finding skills, which are essential for legal practice. Students also develop a strong sense of empathy and social justice through their actions. The objective of this submission is to study the diverse kinds of Clinical methods employed in teaching law, know their role in the syllabus, and study the current practices and plans in vogue in "Clinical Legal Education In India". The paper discusses the concept of "clinical legal education", examines its historical origins, describes the essential requirements of clinical legal education, and emphasizes the importance of clinics and clinical pedagogy techniques in the study of Law.
