Abstract

This paper explores the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in corporate governance and its implications for India’s legal and regulatory frameworks. While AI enhances efficiency and decision-making transparency, it also introduces ethical concerns and accountability gaps. The study highlights how India's current corporate laws lag behind global best practices in addressing AI-specific risks. Through a comparative and analytical lens, this paper calls for urgent legal reforms to ensure responsible AI deployment that safeguards stakeholder trust, transparency, and corporate accountability. Keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Corporate Governance, Legal Reform, Accountability, India
