Abstract

ABSTRACT_x000D_ The proliferation of digital technology has revolutionised communication, commerce, and_x000D_ governance. However, it has also given rise to new-age offences broadly termed as_x000D_ cybercrimes. These crimes, which transcend geographical boundaries, pose a serious threat to_x000D_ national security, individual privacy, and economic integrity. This article explores the_x000D_ multifaceted nature of cybercrimes, the statutory provisions addressing them in India, judicial_x000D_ interpretations, and the effectiveness of existing legal remedies.
