Abstract
The growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the expansion of e-commerce are transforming the global and national economic landscape. At the centre of this shift is the increasing role of women entrepreneurs who are utilizing digital tools and platforms to establish, scale, and sustain businesses. The concept of the “Digital Her” highlights this phenomenon, signifying how women-led enterprises are reshaping markets, fostering inclusivity and driving innovation.
Women entrepreneurs have historically faced structural barriers such as inadequate access to finance, limited networking opportunities and cultural restrictions. However, the adoption of digital technologies has mitigated several of these challenges by enabling direct consumer engagement, reducing dependence on intermediaries and expanding market visibility. Women-led enterprises are particularly thriving in sectors such as handicrafts, apparel, education, wellness, and food processing. By leveraging e-commerce platforms, social media networks and digital financial systems, these businesses are contributing significantly to MSME growth and consumer diversification.
