It entails fostering an atmosphere that encourages and supports innovation, taking calculated risks, and putting new ideas into practice. In legal terms, it refers to the use of legal frameworks, particularly intellectual property (IP) laws such as patents, copyrights, and trademarks, to encourage new ideas, research and development, and the creation of settings where innovative solutions can emerge and be safeguarded, so promoting societal advancement and economic success. In today's knowledge-driven economy, innovation has become the cornerstone of sustainable growth, and both industry and academia are crucial in determining its course. Fundamental research, theoretical frameworks, and exploratory concepts are developed in academia, which acts as the intellectual center. Universities and research centers foster curiosity-driven inquiry, develop talent, and provide students the tools they need to think critically. Conversely, industry serves as the catalyst for commercialization, scalability, and application.
