Abstract

Contracts are one of the most crucial documents in business and transactions. The parties forming contracts are termed as promisor and promise. In India, the contracts are governed by the Indian Contract Act, 1872. It defines the terms, lays down essentials, the rights and duties of parties involved and remedies in case of breach by any side. Part 1 (Section 1-75) is about general principles of law of contracts (Chapter 1 to 6) and Part 2: Deals with Special kinds of Contracts such as indemnity and guarantee, bailment and pledge and agency. This blog talks about the basics of contract law.
