Abstract

Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. This is the best quote to say what a remote working in simple terms is. But we need a more appropriate definition. This study examines definitions, some opinions on remote working and as well as problems that come along with it in context with Human Resource Management. We will also briefly explore the legal frameworks which deal with remote working for the well-being of the employees as well as for the well-being of the organization or company. This study also ponders into the evolution of remote working from flexi-time to hybrid mode and its impact on organizational culture. The role of HRM in ensuring compliance and employee well-being is also highly lightened. Some case studies of organizations were also analysed to find out the most effective remote working policies. This study uses both doctrinal and non-doctrinal research to conclude the problems that come along with remote working. The data used in this study is both primary and secondary. The survey is conducted to collect data for non-doctrinal research using a random sampling technique. At the end of the study, some suggestions are stated based on the findings to overcome these challenges or problems.
