Abstract

The following article attempts to explain the intersection between the UNCLOS treaty and the Maritime Anti Piracy Act. It aims to emphasize on the need and neccessity of maritime security and the role of the above laws in doing so. Tha article also provides a historical and social background of maritime security and boundaries which can be reflected in modern scenario.
