Abstract

This blog discusses the concept of medical negligence and the legal remedies available to patients in India. It explains the duties of medical professionals, the circumstances under which negligence may arise, and the remedies available under consumer protection law, tort law, criminal law, and professional disciplinary mechanisms. The article also analyses important judicial decisions and highlights the challenges involved in proving medical negligence while maintaining a balance between patient rights and medical practice.
