Abstract

This paper examines the legal framework governing the rehabilitation of rape survivors in India and identifies gaps in its implementation. Using a doctrinal research methodology, it analyses constitutional provisions, the BNSS, POCSO Act, victim compensation schemes, judicial decisions and institutional mechanisms such as One Stop Centres. The paper argues that although India has an extensive framework for compensation, medical care, counselling and legal aid, implementation remains inconsistent, limiting effective survivor-centred justice
