Abstract

The article examines the intricate and dynamic realm of medical jurisprudence in India, highlighting the growing legal challenges that doctors face in today's healthcare landscape. It outlines the historical evolution of medico-legal principles in the country and examines how modern laws impact medical practitioners' daily responsibilities and rights. With rising medico-legal claims and regulatory complexities, the article addresses the fine line doctors must walk between delivering compassionate patient care and adhering to stringent legal standards. It stresses the importance of heightened medico-legal awareness, proactive risk management and legal reforms to protect both healthcare providers and patients. Ultimately, this piece seeks to empower medical professionals to confidently navigate the new medico-legal maze of contemporary Bharat, ensuring ethical practice while minimizing legal vulnerabilities.
