Abstract

In today’s business world, companies are more connected and more visible than ever before. One wrong decision can spread across the internet within minutes and damage a company’s reputation for years. Because of this, an important question comes up again and again: is management only supposed to increase profits for shareholders, or does it also have a responsibility to protect the values and integrity of the organization? Earlier, many companies treated ethics as something secondary. It was mostly limited to paperwork, legal compliance, or damage control after a controversy. But things have changed. Ethics is no longer just a moral discussion or a formal policy sitting in a company handbook. It has become an important part of long-term business survival. Management ethics simply means applying values such as honesty, fairness, responsibility, transparency, and integrity while making decisions. These values influence how managers deal with employees, customers, investors, suppliers, and society as a whole.
